Biography
Certified accountant and businessman before retiring, Mr. Jean Fortin embarked on a remarkable journey from his native region of Saguenay to be closer to his children, who had to leave the area to pursue their studies. After gaining valuable experience working for a bankruptcy firm as a consultant, he decided to establish his own insolvency business in 1984. His goal was clear: to demystify debt solutions, integrate an educational component into personal finance management, and better support individuals at every stage of this challenging transition.
Over the years, his business spread throughout Quebec, and his family grew. In 2014, Mr. Fortin decided to let his 2 sons, Pierre and Jean, take the lead I order to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. His vision now continues through his sons, who are now in charge of the company. Furthermore, 2 of his grandsons have joined the ranks of the family business, perpetuating the family’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of insolvency. With their promising potential, these young individuals represent the 3rd generation poised to take the reins of the family business, thus preserving the legacy and inspiring vision of Jean Fortin & Associés’ founder for years to come.
