Pierre Fortin
President, ll.b., SAI, CIRP
Biography
At the beginning of his career at Jean Fortin & Associés, Pierre had the opportunity to occupy practically every position within the company, ranging from filing to being at the reception desk, as well as the roles of assistant and advisor. This experience allowed him to fully understand the importance of each individual’s work within firm. After obtaining his law degree and passing the Bar at the University of Montreal, he was immediately drawn to the field of mediation, arrangements, and assisting individuals, which are characteristic of the trustee function. Thus, in 1993, he obtained his license as a licensed trustee in insolvency.
In 2014, he took over the reins of the family business, assuming the role of president, succeeding his father, Mr. Jean Fortin, the founder of Jean Fortin & Associés. Pierre still occasionally meets with clients, deriving great satisfaction from each interaction. For him, “respect for the client and our commitment to providing them with the best of our services remain at the heart of all our actions.” Every day, Pierre strives to ensure that this philosophy remains a constant reality within the company. With an excellent ability to simplify complex concepts in the field of insolvency, he also serves as the company’s media spokesperson.
